٭٭٭ No Man Walks Alone - Official Affiliate Thread ٭٭٭ (a.k.a. I shouldn't have slept on it)

I've got a few more editorial/lookbook type shots to share with you all that didn't make it into drop previews, and they're just too good to be lost to the ether.



From Frank Leder, the trousers are the same fabric as these drawstring ones we picked up (although not the same exact style of course). I like how they look with the different blues up top though. Surprisingly good with that dark indigo especially.



Band collar shirt in ochre stripe cotton/linen as seen here. Maybe peak Leder shirt, at least when it comes to warm weather ones.



De Bonne Facture styled a lovely lookbook that features the Belgian linen overshirt and lounge trousers we dropped a few weeks back, but they also have some nicely styled shots as well separate from the proper lookbook:



Same as above but a little more casual worn open with the blue linen tee we just dropped and some Novestas (maybe?)



Anothre nice combo with the same pants and honeycomb knit polo

Sweater tuck into shorts is pretty advanced, but aside from that I DO think the linen shorts are a nice companion to a spring/summer knit - I'm thinking something like the Beams+ cableknit ones or the Kaptain Sunshine cotton and paper one.




Tucked tee with a scarf! Maybe this one stays in the lookbook but I'd love to see someone go for it I think the skinny belt is key here.



Nice and slouchy here with a tee and undyed Belgian linen trousers. We didn't grab that jacket but a set-up with the painter's jacket is cooler anyway




Valstar with some quite moody lookbook shots, but to be fair they do a good job showing off the luxe appearance of the fabric and hardware of the zip blouson

Kardo also came through with a very creative lookbook, setting the stage with some nicely patterned and dyed fabrics and their usual style of multiple models in one frame. The guy on the right is wearing the since-sold-out hand block printed camp shirt we stocked, but I wanted to share it anyway.



Closest to us is the camp shirt again but in a traditional (and proper!) ikat



We went for a camp shirt instead of the jacket, but on the left you can see how good the hand embroidery looks on a person.



And on the left is another block print, this time one color on a natural base.

I have to say, I really appreciate how seamlessly y'all have adapted to the changing styles of the post-Covid world.

Even though little of it is my style (not a backhanded compliment...I'm a bore), love seeing the pivot and continued successes...no doubt the latter is a result of the groundwork laid with tremendous CS and making customers feel like a part of a special (albeit very nerdy haha) community.

Greg (or I guess anyone else with experience), can you speak to the weight of the 4-ply Ascot suit? Is it going to be appropriate for NYC summertime? The linen and supersonic pieces make sense to me, but I'm trying to figure out if the Ascot will be notably warmer.

Popped into the show room today and tried on a couple of the summer tailoring pieces — lovely stuff as always!

I can't think of a lot fabrics that are pleasant to wear as a suit in NYC summers.... but open-weave fresco wools like Ascot (2 or 4 ply) work pretty well up to maybe 80 degrees?

4-ply is the same fabric Rota uses for what we've been calling their "crisp wool" trousers. It's a magic fabric, a lot of body shape to it, keeps a great crease and the open weave wears cooler than you'd expect at this weight.

When it gets truly hot, it probably will feel too heavy. Conversely, it will work a lot better in spring and fall than a linen or very lightweight cloth

Ordered this earlier in the week but not yet fulfilled. Hoping they let me apply the sale discount post purchase.

With the caveat that nothing is appropriate for an NYC summer, I'd go 4-Ply over the linen. On the whole, I find high twists far less onerous than linen when the weather gets really disgusting. But, ya, gnarly NYC summers are going to feel gnarly if you're wearing anything more than nothing.

If budget allows, I'd get at least two of the three (Supersonic coming in 3rd), with the 4-Ply taking the top spot
