Got my Oatmeal Linen Rota easy pants over the weekend and they're fantastic. This is my 3rd pair of their easy pants and every time, I'm so impressed by how they nail this shape. Head and shoulders above all the other ones I've tried.

One question, though, - the waist definitely fits me better if I use the second button, but that creates a sorta weird flap across the crotch. If I want to use that button, should I have a tailor take them in a bit to avoid that? Or is the button just there as decoration and not meant to be used?

How did you size compared to other Rota/easy pants. I have the first gen Rota easy pants where I had to size up and just ordered the same Oatmeal Linen in my normal Rota size.

Sized up just like w/ the other easy pants. I've done that for every pair of easy pants - not just the first gen.
Interesting. I'm usually the opposite and have to size down for other brands easy pants. This to prevent them from falling down when I carry my iphone in my pockets

The second button is for decoration / as an extra button if needed. It cannot really be used to fasten the trousers tighter. If you need a smaller waist, I would recommend sizing down. Most alteration tailors don't like altering the waist of trousers with an elastic band

I’ll confess I’ve been using the second, apparently decorative, button for two seasons now!

Huh. Not sure I can size down to a 50 in Rota. Need to consult my tailor!

If the way it lays doesnt bother you, keep doing what you’re doing. It’s just that the fly will be a little askew if you use the farther button

@gdl203 , do you know how long it takes your team to process LuxeSwap credits? I was notified of one last Wednesday. Any chance I can use that to make a Carrara preorder?

Ok, great. It’s been a week since I got the notice from LuxeSwap, but as long as the credit is on my account before the 23rd, I’m good.
