fair price for a vintage Omega Seamaster?

Thread Starter
I've been thinking about getting a vintage Omega in a stainless case as a less delicate everyday watch (instead of my slightly fragile old Gruen Quadron). I've run across a late 50s Seamaster for sale locally: what would a fair price be for a recently serviced manual wind model? Is there anything I should particularly look for?

Thanks.

You should ask this question in the "Cool old watches" thread over at Men's Clothing and/or PM members Omegablogger, NantucketRed, TheHoff etc. as they are all very knowledgable about this particular subject.
