How warm will the matera run? Doesn't get all that cold (ever) in Houston.

Its an unlined cotton field jacket. Same weight as a classic M-65. To me its the perfect 3 season jacket (Spring through fall) and can be taken into winter with heavy knitwear.

Who will be carrying the raglan down parka?

It's on Bloomingdales website I believe

Blue raincoat. I ordered my usual Eidos size and there is plenty of room to fit over a suit. The arms are lined. The online model has to be wearing a size or two down.

Nick i have the coat blommies had last winter,it is a blue/red/brownish color lol.

It was my first purchase when i moved to Chicago, granted I got lucky since it was at half price, it is worth every penny, the materials are much better than my girls burbbery jackets,I always get compliments on it,most ppl think its 3k jacket lol.

I will probably purchse the one you just posted above.

Very nice indeed.......I bought the Burgundy wool FJ because the pockets on that coat, perhaps due to the fabric and its color and weight, are less prominent. And for its gorgeousity.

Do field jackets normally have that sleeve cuff-buttoned band I sometimes see on coats(sorry to not name it correctly)?

MP3 shows no Eidos products currently.

So for you guys who are swiping up these raw silk jackets from the eBay dude in Italy, I will share some advice based on my experience with the two I own (I have one in brown from NMWA and one in navy from Haymakers).

I've noticed color leaching out of them onto my shirts when I sweat in the armpits, but nowhere else. Mine are totally unlined (quarter lining may make a difference), and I had to sew my own cotton "pit-flaps" to protect my shirts and also to try and abate the color leaching effect. I posted once about it and another dude mentioned he has no problems with his. And I got to thinking about this problem, and what could be the possible cause, and then I realized the problem:

When my wife and I were in Italy last fall, these were the two jackets I took. At one point I noticed the jackets were starting to have a little smell to the armpits, so I sprayed a little Febreeze in the pits to freshen them up since we were there for a month and I noticed the smell fairly early on.

The Febreeze must have chemically reacted with the dye in the fabric, and now it leaches out. Bummer. Thankfully I only sprayed on the inside of the jacket, not the outside, so I'm not worried about it being visible to anyone else. And the pit flap project was kinda fun lol.

So, lesson for you all: Don't use Febreeze. Just power through the smell until you can get it cleaned haha.

I also own tailoring in this quality and color fastness has never been an issue.

Also, just so you all know, it seems like Isaia/Michelangelo sold all the Eidos tailoring stock they had to this guy in Naples. These are mostly samples from the Milan sample collection we produce every season. Enjoy it while it lasts. Also, I'm jealous of whoever nabs the Tallia Defino solaro in 50 Primo...that was supposed to be my suit but they never shipped it to the US!

What is "Isand" fit? Does it predate you @NickPollica?
