Eidos Napoli - Page 337

@NickPollica, while we're at it, will any retailers besides Lawrence Covell and AK Rikks, be carrying the Tenero this Fall/Winter ?

I received my shirt, L/S soft cutaway collar in the Japanese chambray fabric.

Initial impressions:
Beautiful color
Fabric feels soft and thick
Collar is high and folds well
Sleeves are a bit long for a size 15.5/39 (compared to Kamakura Shirts, 39-87 TSF)
Armholes are cut low (compared to Kamakura Shirts)
Length is cut shorter compared to Kamakura Shirts

I have to review the tag but this is a "sports shirt". Is this meant to be worn more casually untucked or perhaps I need higher rise pants (pre-ordered Lorenzo pants for SS17, so, should be fine).

So, you dig?

(I have all the same observations on mine, too. It rocks nicely with sleeves rolled and the short length is actually pretty good untucked, something I never do with button-up shirts. But I can still wear it tucked underneath an SC and it works)

Pretty much every retailer that sells full canvased tailoring carries the tenero at this point except bloomingdales.

thank you for clarifying, antonio. was remembering a post a while back mentioning that this fall/winter saks was transitioning to the augusto and barneys bought less tailoring. thought that would only leave nordstrom and the small specialty stores.

now if only we could get bloomingdales to add the tenero.

Was this wool/hemp SC picked up anywhere else besides Lawrence Covell? I believe NMWA and Saks had the matching trousers.

I will keep the shirt forever. About the sleeves, I think perhaps some may think the Kamakura shirt sleeve is a bit short, so, it may be that I am use to that length and need to adjust to longer lengths from different labels. Eidos is my first shirt that is not Kamakura..

Thank you for putting Coachman on the radar for me. I need to know of more stores!

Actually talking with Bryce about some other items smile.gif

I usually wear 34" pants (33" true waist), but I usually get my Eidos pants in a 36 because the 34s are typically too slim in the thighs, which was the case with the 34s of these I tried on, so I went with the 36.

I say go TTS if you have slim legs, size up if you have some tree trunks.

That is great to know and I am generally the same. Do you have any experience with other Eidos trousers? I suspect the Lorenzo style pants can fit TTS due to the forward facing pleats allowing more room in the seat. At least this is my expectation.

Bloomingdales will never have the tenero. Saks and Barneys will have tenero suits. Will post an updated vendor list soon.

Sorry, no experience with the Lorenzos (yet), but I suspect you might be right!

Thanks! Unfortunately, they're out of my size, 38/48 assuming the sales was correct in that they only buy the Tipo cut.

The one I got from them definitely feels like a Tenero. It's unlined (all my Tipos are lined) and a bit shorter in the body than my Tipos.
