This is how all lapel rolls should look IMO. The flat lapel looks lifeless to me. A lapel roll should evoke a woman's labia. Then the tie evokes, well...

Justin, looks great. They didn't have my size in that one or I would have kopped it too.

Grabbed a suit and SC, from Bloomies. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Nick, I heard you were there recently

Gyasih I wanted that sportcoat you got but they didn't have my size

How is the sizing on Eidos? TTS? I usually wear 40R in Zegna Milano, Isaia S-base, Zegna Roma, Samuelsohn Geneva cut. But 42R in Zegna Milano Easy.

Any recommendations on what size I should look for? Thanks.

I have the double-breasted Tenero (I think that's the model) in a 42R. Based only on my experience with that one model, I'd say Eidos runs small. Shoulders are 18 inches, length is 29.75 inches. I take a 40R in Brooks Brothers, Belvest, and Hickey Freeman. Other models seem to run a bit larger though, based on some of the measurements I've seen posted in this thread. Measure a sport coat that fits you well and compare to the measurements from this thread.

I don't understand how come noboby commented on the "lapels should evoke the woman's labia and the tie, hum, well" comment! Too funny! :rotflmao:

My SA at Bloomie's NYC informed me that Eidos sportsjackets are currently 55-60% off.

The cream and brown Shepherd's check on the right-hand side of justin's photo is available in 38R. Your size, right? (Alas, not mine.) It has been reduced to $380, from $950. There may be a gun check that looks similar to MF's and some others as well. If you'd like, I can PM you my SA's name and contact information so that you can inquire further.

I didn't ask about 44R; the only reason I knew about the particular sportsjacket in 38R is because my SA mistakenly thought it was my size. If you're interested, I can PM you my SA's name and contact information.

Not much 36 left either if I remember correctly

Second from the right was kopped today. Its getting altered and will be ready on the 10th

Do you know if they still had this jacket (the brown windowpane) or the brown check suit in a size 40R?

Try marc.etlin@bloomingdales.com

at the NYC store (he is fine with my providing his email here). They have that jacket in 38R, but it is pricey. $795 I think. It's a Zegna sourced fabric so is more expensive (nearly twice) than the base Eidos models. They also have the blue-acqua checked jacket Justin is wearing for $340 I think in 38R. Etlin was very helpful so drop him a line.

Just as a frame of reference, Cucinelli used the same fabric in their collection and retailed the jacket for $2730. Their's was also fused where ours is fully canvassed.
