I didn't size up, I think Eidos is fairly true to size at least in suits

This may have been answered earlier in the thread but does anyone know what the image on the Eidos symbol/lapel pin is? Or what it represents?
it is a chariot, I believe, from the Phaedrus, a Platonic dialogue. In it, Aristotle uses a winged chariot as part of a lengthy allegory about divinity and the soul.

Eidos, meanwhile, was used by Plato to describe the true nature of something, its Form. This ultimate reality, this perfection, was hidden from the view of mere mortals.

@venividivicibj

I tried the field jacket at Bloomie's. The 38 was definitely too large. Tried a SC in 36 and that seemed just right.

Does anyone have a list of on-line retailers of Eidos?

I know of

NMWA
Bloomingdale's
Haberdash
Stanley Korshak (still carrying?)
Carson Street (though I think they will soon or have discontinued SCs)

Just curious whether there are some buys unique to certain stores (SCs in particular).

Just a quick fyi to those washing things: the white polo shrinks a bit more than the other colors. I hot washed my polos to try to shrink the length just a little, and the chest of the white one came in abt an inch more than ideal, while the others didn't shrink much at all. No biggie, but wanted to make folks aware.

Turns out it's just the green shrinks less than the others. I shrunk an orange and white too much. Green is good though. Doh

The only thing I do with hot water on colored garments is soak them with 2-3 capfuls of Retayne color fixative for about 30 min, then rinse on cold. Wash on cold from there on out.

Ya, unfortunately the green was pretty long and I wanted to shrink it. Should have clearly been more careful. The green worked out, though
