Abe - I am XL / 44 but you guys know your market and need to buy what sells. I tend to buy one or two Eidos pieces a season for a range of sellers. But if someone had the navy hopsack they would likely get my cash.

Don't change just for me (in some ways you site is great as I can look with no temptation!).

Abe, definitely more sportcoats and outerwear (overcoats, bombers, etc). Larger sizes US44R, and perhaps even US46R (EU56R).

  • It would be nice if Gentry provided the Measurements, under the measurements tab.
  • Also, in the photos please don't button the top button in the 3 button (3roll2) sportjackets.
  • Additionally, it is interesting to know the manufacturer's (Eidos Napoli in this case) jacket/cut model.
  • And lastly, it would be nice to have an exact fabric content in %%, not just " wool and slubbed raw silk cloth"
  • Last but not least a picture of the inner pocket label or the indication of the jacket Drop (6R, 7R, 8R)

Thanks!

Yeah, actually this touches on a question in my mind of late. My brother could probably wear a Tenero if he sized up from his normal size, since it's overall pretty slim and narrow-ish in the shoulders. Sizing up for him in, say, a NMWA/Ciro jacket would look terrible, no doubt, but I think he could do it in a Tenero. For him, that'd mean sizing up to an EU56. But I've never seen anyone stock anything larger than a 54. Is there anybody out there who does? Or would it be just MTM for him

Luckily he's a friend and in the same city, planning on getting a suit in the next couple of weeks.

@Nick are the Bloomingdale's Sport Shirts sized smaller than the regular Eidos Napoli dress shirts? I sized up on the sport shirt and the fit was similar to Eidos dress shirts.

this is a complicated question. First, eidos sport shirts should now all be alpha sized (s,m,l etc). They are supposed to be cut more fully but darted in the back so that the overall shape should be the same. Where it gets complicated is that our sport shirts come garment washed (and thus preshrunk) and our dress shirts dont. The sizing varies from fabric to fabric because each fabric shrink differently.

I understand MTM is on hold for the time being, but is MTO possible? I'm upset I missed out on the NMWA navy hop sack blazer and was wondering whether it might be available through MTO.

No MTM/MTO is available in the US at this time.

Are you posting from India?

Will it come back in the near future?

@Abe At Gentry

Would love to see you guys carry Eidos jackets in size 46S/36S, mostly the new Ciro cut if not the Tenero. Seems like most places except Bloomies don't request that size.

You guys hooked it up with the Hemp-Wool cobalt blue Tenero, which has been a major wherever I've worn it!

Just so you all know, Gentry is not a store we plan on expanding our tailoring offering in. They will have 1-2 sleeves in the tenero model each season, max. There are plenty of places to get our tailoring online at this point and additional tailoring does not really fit into how I want Eidos presented along side brands like Visvim, Our Legacy and Engineered Garments. In general, you all should expect to see our brand taking a much more broad approach to our collection with a substantially smaller focus on tailoring outside of Bloomingdales and NMWA.

Working on MTM/MTO but the reality is that we are not a big enough operation to manage this process the way it deserves to be managed at this moment. Will let you all know when that changes, but when it does, do not expect a large roll out. Probably only NMWA in the US.

Finally, you are all VIPs in my book:

The sale runs through Friday and is open from 10am-7pm. There is a lot of amazing stuff, with full size runs of some great tailoring and outerwear this time around. Enjoy.
