I know Viberg is a bit more of a workboot, but my one nitpick is that as thins price point the boot came with some more dings and scratches than I would expect

How you owned chromexcel before? I ask because chromexcel, in my experience, easily shows nicks and scratches, but cleans up nicely. I think this may have come more from shipping than from the Viberg operation.

I own like 8 or 10 pairs of chromexcel and am very familiar with it. If it were anything surface that could be brushed or buffed out I wouldn't mention it. These are deeper scratches. Thank you for your concern though

Sized 10.5 for my left foot, 10 for my right; fits like a glove.

Good looking. You would not believe the number of times I checked your order to make sure that it was right.

Cheers,

Fok.

Fok, how much time should I give these before I consider heel grippers of some sort? Or try more socks? Fit is fine except for some heel slip.

Not sure. I've never used them, so I'm really not sure. Maybe someone else knows?

Haha thanks Fok, I can only imagine! They fit like an absolute glove, thanks for your diligence!

Heel slippage should go away after approx 2 weeks of wear. Very normal in the first few days.

What thickness sock are you wearing? I ask because I have worn my boots with a light hiker and a bit thicker dress sock and noticed much more heel slip with the dress sock. These Danner socks (similar to smart wool) are a perfect match for me with these boots. The extra thickness helps but my foot does not get hot. Might be worth a try for you?

Will there be another run of the Iced mocha CXL service boot anytime soon?

unlikely. Viberg no longer stocks this leather as they found it to overlap too much in some instances with natural CXL
