Most heavily tattooed people are tattooed in an american classic style, think sailor jerry. This style is timeless

I'm not sure I agree that timeless/classic style is the norm among people with more tattoos, but I do think the critical distinction with regard to looking dated will be style. There were a lot of tribal arm bands, tramp stamps, kanji symbols (of dubious meaning), and Godsmack suns being tattooed on that wave of 90s tattoo customers Piob mentioned. Those are looking pretty dated today, but a well-done piece from that era that didn't incorporate that stuff will probably be pretty timeless and not associated with a fad.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT. SHE DOESN'T CARE, AND DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE TO TELL YOU AGAIN. ALSO, SHE'S NOT HUNGRY FOR ATTENTION. IF SHE WERE, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN TATTOOS THAT UNDOUBTEDLY SHOCK ALL OF YOU UPTIGHT, CONVENTIONAL SHEEP. NOT THAT SHE CARES WHAT YOU THINK, BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T.

Is this why she's so pissy regarding talking about things like cost, design, etc? If the square masses get in on the knowledge that just anyone with a credit card can walk into a tattoo shop and get some ink, it'll completely undermine tattoos as a symbol of freethinking independence!

A dragon on one forearm and a tiger on the other will never become dated grasshopper. Technically they should be brands not tattoos, but who has a giant cauldron lying around the house?

Your modern branding enthusiast will just use a blowtorch.

My brother branded one of his friends with a coat hanger back in college (upon request). Needless to say, some drinking was involved.

I'd say at least half the people I know around my age, across a very broad spectrum of "types" (hipster, clean cut, prep, douchebro, etc) half tats. A lot of people I grew up with who never seemed like the type now have one or in most cases have multiple.

That's because they have no inner fortitude.

Without a cauldron, an unbroken floor of rice paper, and a pebble in hand it is cultural appropriation of the worst kind.

Just sayin', I have some pretty awesome tattoos. I need to get 3 more since I last had some done. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Some of you know what this means.

EDIT - although, sadly, PA governor Tony Wolf has declared a moratorium on DP cases, so I may have to lower my standards.
