Ah. I was wondering. He gained 14 or so in the period of two hours. Makes sense now (not that his fit isn't deserving, but the speed at which he gained votes was astounding).

Looks like they couldn't decide between Clags and Claps...

I'd love the custom title of "Not Clapeyron" provided you get "Not Claghorn"

And now that the poll is closed, I don't mind saying: I feel Claps' fit was superior to mine. He did a good job of avoiding a jarring effect, whereas I had no choice but to try and get away with embracing mine (hence the louder than usual pocket square).

I don't think my body is ready yet for the things you need to perform for a custom title.

Nonsense. As they used to advise young ladies in the movies, when confronted with such tasks, "Just close your eyes and think of England (or, in your case, Germany - I leave it to your discretion whether you think of Brandenburg, Bavaria, or Baden-Wurttemburg)".

Why'd you limit the number of states of the most beautiful country of mine to just those three? Am I not allowed to lie back and think of Sexony or North Rhine Westphallus...oh wait I see...

I believe that you've answered your own question. As it was, I was merely citing alliterative examples - I would never limit your imagination. By the way, was that Upper Sexony, or Lower Sexony?

I believe it is Versexony

Anyone know if T is working on a challenge at all?

If he isn't, I cede the tie to Clap.

my foot is getting worse. I might have to get that darn ingrown toenail done so I might do a crazy show challenge to keep me in the game.

It seems like every other Friday, there's one piece of clothing that would qualify me for the challenge that is out getting tailored, made, or remade.

That's a slightly "dusty" looking red, which I think is a marginally more unusual. But in general, I agree that a more typical dark red bengal stripe isn't an unusual shirt per se and is pretty common. So much so that I didn't even think of wearing mine for this challenge. It's unusual in the sense of being allowable by sb's criteria for the challenge however, and is certainly a clever choice within its parameters, as it's a bit more versatile than some of the colours the rest of us wore!

Agreed on all points.

I need to find some real Burgundy stripe fabric.

IIRC mine is from Thomas Mason Silverline. It's a dark burgundy.
