Belstaff from eBay - real or fake?

I'm definitely not an expert on Belstaff but if it says made in Italy chances are it's real.

I read somewhere that even if they fake everything else, they can't do that with the 'made in' tag for some reason (items not allowed to be exported? fine could be huge?). And most fakes are obviously made in China/India/Thailand, definitely not Italy.

Obviously the seller could have replaced the tag, though...

This is the exact opposite of true.

It's still too hot! In a month or two I will wear the sh out of it, then come winter I will wear the sh out of the new Billy Reid peacoat!

The Bond peacoat?
How'd you size that as compared to the Roadmaster?

Yes, I have both in small. The peacoat feels half a suit size larger. Granted, having a belt on the Belstaff does help with the fit a little, but even without it, it still fits more like a small than the peacoat.

I bought this Belstaff Roadmaster from eBay recently, but I can't tell if it's real or fake. The jacket outside feels very cheap and plasticky, but the inside is warm, and the pocket liners are suedey and soft... Can you tell from the pics if the jacket is real?

I'm afraid it looks fake. The telltale signs are, does it have Belstaff embossed on the zip ring and buckles. Also, the ring pull and buckles usually are textured to mimic the texture of a motorcycle foot peg. Is Belstaff engraved on the outer of the brass buttons? The Belstaff embroidery looks inconsistent too. Another Belstaff hallmark is the stud/button that is nearest the bottom of the jacket is normally rubber. This is to avoid scratching the tank on your motorbike.
