Well, the topic title says it all. They subcontract to another company, just whom would that be? Jon.

The expensive Purple Labels are made by Ed Green; the less expensive England models are made by C & J. (the C & J's run about 600 retail, compared to about 900 or so for the Greens). I'm not really sure who makes the Italian shoes -- they are really solid shoes at the price point IMO (especially because you can always find them on sale on Bluefly or at the Polo shoe outlets) -- but I've never gotten reliable information about who makes them.

Crockett & Jones, of England make them. I did contemplate whether to answer you, after your previous display of arrogance, but perhaps you would like to put that behind us, it is purely your choice.

I knew about the RLPL's (EG), but yes, I was talking about the Italian made shoes for the regular Polo line. The RL corporate website used to name the companies that RL subcontracts from and what lines they manufacture for, but I can no longer find it on the site. Jon.

Well, I have been unable to find which company makes the Italian Polo shoes, but all the Polo sneakers are made by Pou Chen Corporation, the largest shoe manufacturing company in the world. They also make shoes for: Nike, Adidas, Timberlands, Converse, Reebok, Champion, Lockport, Columbia, and Winson. Pou Chen Corporation makes shoes for almost all of the western bands. Jon.
