There should be a forum filter where everytime somebody types Thom Browne, it gets replaced with

I like how GS wears it. I'm indifferent to how SoCal wears it.

Thanks.

It is rather amusing in how less than 2 hrs there are already 4 pages in this thread of questioning, bickering, disdain and praise...which, is giving Thom exactly what he wants.

I can't wait for the Black Sheep threads once his line hits in the fall!

I think SoCal looks great, but this short trousers are not elegant and IMO ruin the whole outfit that is cool excepting that detail, they simply show you are following a TB vogue...

Yes, you do...you care what THOM BROWNE wears!!!

Also, who spells their name Thom? Other than Thom Yorke - not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Your definition of sexy is...odd. I'm genuinely curious...do girls(or guys?) dig it?

+! I keep hearing..."he's TRYING to upset people." I'm all about the journalistic sentiment of "afflicting the comfortable" applied in all areas of life, but being controversial for the sake of controversy strikes me as trying act precious and obnoxious. It's stupid when Marilyn Manson does it, and stupid when Thom Browne does. I like some of your looks SoCal, but the highwater pants just don't do it for me. GS, also an interesting look - no problem with the pants, but it's a little "Daddy I Shrunk The Lapels" EDIT: I went to the tailor and saw the thread when I got back and thought it had been resurrected from months ago 'cause it was already +3 pages!!

Other than the pant length and the arm band, these outfits are extremely conservative imo. Although I would not wear the pants, I think SoCal looks good and admire his ability to wear them with confidence.

But I'm not trying to look elegant. When I want to look elegant I wear Lanvin, when I want to be a dandy I wear Etro, when I want to have a relaxed 50s-60s Americana vibe I wear Thom Browne.

Why would it prevent you from getting laid?

My girlfriend digs some of the stuff I've shown her (suits from The Septemberists video), I think it's the boy-ish quality to the look that she likes, it's fanciful without being out there in silhouette and detail like Galliano or even a full-on Helmut Lang strapdown. It is affected, sure, but no less so than dropping sprezzatura all over the place.

The shot of the two guys on the street is not quite the same as TB style.

SoCal, I think you look fine--certainly no more ridiculous than a bunch of guys all wearing the same silly red pants--but I'm curious as to where you work? Entertainment? Fashion? Beauty?

Props if it's banking.

Did you leave enough material on the pants that you could let them down and create a simple pair of slim trousers if you tire of the look?

Cheers,

lefty
