Let's see some more fits. Oh, and my money is on T1 as well.

TTO for miles. Place your bets place your bets.

Just realized I had a nice hat made by hand in Alaska that MAY be able to put up a fight, but it's more SW&D even though it was at $200 when I bought it.

But the dogs liked it more than I did apparently.

Reminds me, I have two Pantas sitting in my mailbox. Expect pics later.

The forecast for tomorrow says 37ºC here, but it said 38º today and I saw thermometers reaching 44ºC. So who knows...

A hat is a MUST right now. So I hope I don't look like a fool tounge.gif

Not sure if I passed my own test, but it's fun to try. The flat cap is made of a mid grey corduroy.

Edit: another photograph that gives a bit more context

not sold on that, looks very newsies to me, hard to say.

but you made me realize, this challenge will be very hard if one is obscuring their face. a hat looks success really is very connected to the wearers head (the one the hat is on) and if you cant get the whole picture, its very hard to judge.

Newsies would be another way to say "sprezz"? If so, the only quirky that I can see is the unbuttoned button down collar.

Actually, I would say that this is fit just the opposite of what the #menswear preaches (if that is good or not, is to you to judge). Full corduroy trousers; the coat's silhouette is also full; and, a corduroy flap cap. I wore this outfit to a showroom at a winery, can't be more old cliché than that. I regret to not have a better camera nor a black knit necktie, that would have made this fit optimal, in my opinion.

Thank you for your suggestion. I realized that how I obscured my face would made harder to judge the proportions of the hat with my face. It's better obscured now, allowing you to judge the proportions better.

i certainly did not mean sprezz or #menswear. by newsies, i meant the movie with cristian bale, set back in the late 1800s i think. young kids selling newspapers and singing, wearing baggy-ish trous and shirts, and a cap like that. it was not a dig or a compliment, just an observation.

obscurity is better, but i would imagine this challenge will be won by a poster who shoes their face. helping that is that both Tril and TTO show their face.

Not convinced on that. In my opinion, it's the context that will make the difference, take Diaz photograph as an example. However, both Tira and TTO usually offer some context on their photographs, so your bet well placed.

Edit: Historically men's headwear has lost much of its old social utility, that's why, in my opinion, the context will be determinant on this contest. Offering context, you offer a reason, people unfamiliar with headwear are looking for that reason.

Btw, terrific fit, Diaz!

RDiaz... That's strong. Real strong. Very nice and summery.

Hat, face and all - whether fool or not I leave to the discretion of the viewer.
