Has The Forum Lost It's Appeal (For You)?

When new I couldn't get enough; questions, waiting for answers to those questions, PSAs, challenges, what could be the newest and latest deal to get in on, feeling as if I were in the know, etc. Now I struggle to even type in the address to get to this site.

Question: has the forum lost it's appeal for you? If so, why?

The arrival of posters such as bigbris marked the beginning of the decline.

He didn't arrive until at least 4 years after you joined. Hopefully those other 4,517 posts of yours were more meaningful over the last decade.

I haven't been here that long and I'm still learning but mostly what I learn from is looking at pre-2010 stuff. I think praise is given too easily here and all the solid posters, from what I can tell, don't contribute as much or at all any more. The 2010 HOF thread is a goldmine of what I wish was still around.

My fits are average at best, but, as I said, I'm learning and don't post the average fits.

I should probably clarify I mean CM. SW&D, I hardly go to. I see something cool there every now and then but for the most part, nothing is that great or stylish. And there's a lot of black jackets with black jeans and black shoes with a white shirt. People look like Edward Scissorhands.

Those first four years really were the golden era of SF.

time for this kind of thread again. smile.gif

been here pretty long.. but its still a place I like to hang out. I've known a few members irl and online and they're great people and this is the tie that binds us. the forum itself has its ups and downs, and its definitely not the exact place as it was when I joined. so has the forum lost its appeal? maybe a bit, yes. but I'm still here.

nope, i still enjoy reading about whether a 500$ Ludlow from J Crew or a "tailored" suit from Indochino is better for an interview, and what kind of shoes go best with that outfit.

We are routinely spammed by someone selling cheap kitchens in the United Kingdom. Clearly, they've done a lot of market research in selecting this site.
