And a pic:

From the description:

"Awesome pair of custom made ALDEN 471 oxfords with a wide velcro strap closure.  Check out the pictures, they always tell the story a thousand times better than I ever could.  I try to take lots of pictures from different angles so look closely.  These are the exact shoes you will be receiving, so don't pass these up, I may never get them again."

Anything from the seller "linda*s***stuff". How the heck this seller has 364,926 feedback on Ebay is amazing.

Take for instance this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAUL-STUART-Beige-Striped-Long-Sleeve-Collared-Blazer-Sz-M-/261252198434?pt=US_CSA_MC_Blazers_Sport_Coats&hash=item3cd3d83022

I guess the seller doesn't have an iron, lol.

Descriptions such as:

•Collar: Fold down pointed, notched collar and lapel
•Sleeve Type: Long Sleeves
•Neckline: V-neck
•Print or Graphic(s): Striped
•Embellishment(s)/Embroidery: None
•Number of Pockets and Location: Two on lower front
•Lining: Lining on the front and sleeves
•Closure: Buttons

Classic, in a BAD, BAD way.

I've been on the lookout for a mannequin for a while now and this is one of the closest results (geographically) for my search:uhoh.gif

I have e-thrifted and flipped multiple items from Linda's Stuff - always BINOBO items with their auto-accept feature set to a pretty low amount.  I guess with over 163,000 active listings, things will slip under their radar.  They are a consignor - no idea how they manage / stock / obtain that many items...they're also hooked up with Rue La La which features their higher-end handbags etc on occasion.

[ EDIT: sorry, I keep forgetting about multi-quote ]

All the listings claiming to be shell cordovan when clearly... It's all calf.

I ran into a problem over the weekend where I didn't look closely enough at a listing listed as a pair of shell cordovan saddle shoes. The next day I noticed my mistake and asked the seller to retract my bid; he would refuse and claimed the shoes were "most definitely shell." I guess he didn't check Google when I told him to... Luckily some other schmuck outbid me worship2.gif

Excellent thread idea Cap. Here's one that caught my eye the other day and still has me puzzled:

Aroors/Arrors Brothers?

Almost bought an auction from her a few weeks ago to do this where she misspelled Brioni "Briary".

I think I posted about it in the thrift thread about a year ago but I stumbled upon an auction for AE brogues in which every hole had been painted sloppily with white-out. The seller was completely nonchalant about it too as if people did that to their shoes all the time.

Technically not my idea. I did an initial eBay Blooper post in the eBay Tips thread and chiron suggested a new thread for it.

LOL, not the only ones to make that label misinterpretation either, apparently.

I remember that post. Sometimes office boredom can have terrible results.

That's how I came across her originally - via typohound.com. Ferragamo tie on the cheap.

This will be purchased and used for nefarious purposes.  There's no way it won't happen.

Naturally, Craigslist is a goldmine for questionable images...
