Well, yes, except that the lines are slightly more attractive, IMO. I don't know if it's on the American market yet - trouble with it is that all sorts of "feminised" design features and colour choices, which will turn off most male buyers. What I like is the reference to the 1800ES in the glass backdoor. A sports version without the pastel colours and stuff might keep it out of this thread.

Another Lusso. Which I think is just supremely hot. And, like the brown, the grey-blue tempers the hotness just enough so it's not too flashy.

Good lord. Some cars just look great no matter what color they're painted. If I saw anything else this color I wouldn't be so afflicted with desire.

That color blue on the Lusso is stunning. Better than the brown IMO. JB

+1, that car is gorgeous, even in that color.

Did I see British Racing Green on one of those Ferrari's? Something just strikes me as off about that... But otherwise: Oh the crimes I will commit for that car. I know someone on the forum has a flatbed towtruck in their arsenal.

I'd bet a pair of Edward Greens that the McQueen Ferrari goes for less than the "General Lee".

I wonder how close his XK-SS would get to that mark.

For those of you following the Steve McQueen Lusso saga, here's a photo taken yesterday at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. That relatively nondescript car in the background is McQueen's Lusso.

Of course, the real subject here is a "found in a barn" Bugatti T57 Atalante that caught most everyone by surprise. The Bug will be the most watched car on Christie's auction block this weekend. More Bug images are in a new post.

Just resurrecting this thread to note that McQueen's 1963 250GT Berlinetta Lusso sold for US$2.3 million at a Christie's auction recently. It looks like McQueen's celebrity cachet pushed the price up, as similar cars sell for between $800 000 to $1.2 million. Story here: http://money.cnn.com/2007/08/17/auto...rari/index.htm

Is this car the one Tom Cruise drove in Vanilla Sky? Just saw that movie today, it's weird.

National Geographic channel had a fantastic programm about step by step manufacturing of modern Ferrari 599.
Amazing factory with live trees inside. Engine blocks being smelted right at the factroy, I can watch it for hours just like "This old house" on PBS.
