+1 - also you add extra length to sleeves and trousers, due to the excessive wrinkling, which will "shorten" them during the day. bigstar[1].gif

Holdfast pretty much nailed it. Although, I think Butler is trying to come up with challenges that make people look good, not just throw up a crazy sh*t.

I really wasn't even entering since I didn't have the required shots and had not time to do. I just posted up because I felt the thread would be empty, and I appreciate the work that goes behind it.

IS, thank you for the kind words.

Okay, I know I'm late but the weekend was busy so far. I'll throw these OTR Peter Millar wool/linen blend up just for fun.

Obviously, you're entitled to have your own opinion. However, when you have a look at, at least, three bespoke pair of trousers on similar physiques that came from three different artisans and they all have what you consider to be a wide leg, it is time to reconsider which silhouette is the optimal for that particular physique.

That said, take a better look, as they only reveal their fullness on the side view. Also, mine and Buttler's are the fuller ones, Emptym's pair is slim. If you think that my pair of trousers are wide even from the front view then you have a very different point of view and this conversation will take us nowhere. As a side note, this photograph illustrates what I consider to be a wide pair of trousers (worn by the Emperor Akihito).

^Emperor's trous look way better than those of the man whose hand he's shaking.

Agreed, Unbelragazzo. Just to clarify, I did not mean wide as a negative adjective. I'd not wear trousers as wide as his, but it does fit him well and the silhouette is suitable to his age.

Stitches, sometimes I worry about what the forum is doing to you.

I'm not sure I'd call mine slim. They're pretty full up top but they do taper quite a bit. I like to have the full range of motion and this cut does that. It's my fav., but I like pants that are wider or trimmer. I had a linen pair from H&M that I could barely squeeze into when freshly washed, but they'd stretch very quickly and really comfy. Wish I hadn't left them at a convent last summer.

If I had a dime for all the pairs of pants I left at convents...
