I've been advised by several sales people in European stores that going one or even two sizes up, depending on foot width is advisable as the woman's are a bit smaller in silhouette size.

What is the fit like on the slip on models? I'm wondering if they would be a good alternative for the Achilles given they are Slip on's or if it's a much tighter snug fit where the laces would be and therefore simple vans classics are best

The fit is almost the same as the achilles low. I would say there is ever so slightly more room in my pair of slip ons, but it's essentially the same.

Just got some slip-ons today. I sized down from my Achilles size. They're a bit snug, mostly in width. But I know if I got my Achilles size they'd be too loose.

I take 43 in the slip on, 44 in Nike/Vans

Well this is interesting. I just recieved a pair of Archilles High in the same size as my Archilles (44) but have to say although they measure the same across the sole they feel a much looser fit. Perhaps that's to do with the way lace-up graduates up the foot. They feel completely different, much roomier, and I possibly could of sized down? Usual CP quality but laces seem a little short in length IMO. They do look great but you really have to be either wearing short trousers or shorts to really appreciate them; think I might just stick to the standard shoes in future!

many thanks..........I think I'll have to try on in person just be sure, but this confirms what I was already thinking.

A friend purchased two pairs of women's yesterday so I asked him for you. He mentioned that one size up felt OK but since men generally have a wider foot from the large toe to the smallest toe, regarding width. Going two sizes of fits proper and isn't as long as when going up a full men's size, due to the women's sizing. Seems perfect to go 2 up , then scale back if needed, which I don't think you would. I hope this helps, I know returns can be a pain overseas.

Does anyone know the difference between the achilles low in "navy" with the following different color codes: 3013, 4928 ? They all seem to be called "navy" on different sites for purchase, but its odd that a core color (black, white, navy, gray) would have different color/style numbers. Thanks

Hey all, can someone confirm whether I should get the same size in the chelsea boots as I have in the achilles lows? From what I have read online, I think they fit similarly, but I found a good deal on a pair and was hoping to get definitive confirmation. Thanks for any help.

They are just slightly tighter on the foot but pretty much fit the same.
