In regards to the previous post about 4 white pairs, I have 3 white, 2 grey and just bought another grey as the price was simply too good to pass up. Especially since stock on discounted Grey Low's seems to be scarce.

Grey Achilles low (1528/7543) on sale in sizes 41 and 42 for $290! *Last ones left at time of posting*

I'm a 12 Brannock as well. 12 in New Balance, but 12.5 in Nike. What size are you in the Achilles lows?

Edit: Nevermind. I read a few pages back and see that you take 44 in both and all your comments on length vs. width. I ordered 45s, and will go from there.

Also 44. I remember them being really tight and uncomfortable at the beginning but the 45's were just way too long, my current lows are about 3 years old so they've worn in really well though

Question for you CP experts:

I have the grey suede chelseas and they came with two pull-on straps on each boot - front and back.  The newer versions only have one strap located on the back.

what's the difference, if any, between the models?  and are the newer boots better quality than the first versions?

thanks in advance!

The newer ones they have at barneys that I saw in Vegas have two straps again now, too. I think they may be going back to that style.

interesting note - i purchased my grey ones from barney's and on the website, the picture shown has only one strap.  when shipped, i received boots w/ two straps.  I was recently in barney's (NYC) and saw the beige ones with only one strap.

really random, isn't it?

I'd guess with all the hype the chelsea style is getting (from all manufacturers) to further differentiate it, they're going back to the original style of two straps.

Thanks for the advice, I actually went with the same size (44) as my Archilles in the Bballs (was the only size they had left at Sale). I'm a UK 9.5 which is a US 10.5 and a size 44 Archiles fits me perfect.

Tan Bballs just arrived. Obviously a different aesthetic to the Archilles - but they do come up large, more than I expected. Sole length 32 cm / width 11 cms, compare that with my Archilles: sole length 31 cms, width 10.5 cm. Looks like these are going back; apparently the next size down is 1.5 cms shorter in the length, but not sure if I love them in the tan enough to pursue. The red suede though! I better get saving or get lucky.

Is it the same color? I have the dual pull tab tan and grey, but those are an exclusive from the business fashion. They are also a little lighter in color than other tan and grey models.I also have the "dark grey" single tab crepe sole model available from this past season found in most stores which are significantly darker, but not as dark as my "black" pair.

It seems a few our comments on this forum are the closest thing to an official CP list. This is what I noted thus far:

The Business Fashion Exclusives:

1797 _ 1302   Tan (dual pull tabs, lighter  sole)

1797 _ 5472  Grey (dual pull tabs, lighter crepe sole, black sole trim)

1897 __ 1302  Sand and Tan (single tab, lighter sole)

1897 __ 5472  Dark Grey (single tab, lighter sole w/ brown sole trim

1851 __ 0241  Khaki (single pull tab, tan color sole)

1851 __ 7547  Black (single pull tab, black sole)

As you can see 1302 and 5472 are available on all sand/tan and grey models, respectively. I have seen 3 different hues of tan thus far. Not enough to have all three in sand/tan, but definitely slightly noticeable in person, under the same lighting. They grey colors are more noticeable Light for the business fashion exclusive , medium/dark for the "dark grey" 5472, and and the black suede is a very dark grey, but not true black.

The Chelsea saga continues lol I have the Business Fashion exclusive which sounds like the same model you have, but clearly isn't the UK Exclusive. Can you post a photo at your convenience to compare. Common Projects Chelsea's seem to come in 50 shades of grey, all under the same color code and name on the box lol

When did you see those? The ones I saw there recently were Khaki single tab, code 1851_0241
