Do the winter postman boots still get made? I haven't seen them in a few years and mine are on their last legs but im hesitant to get rid of them if I can't replace them.

some of the vintage highs fit a little tight. I have a pair that are a little snug, and make sure I wear thin socks. You may be able to have a cobbler stretch them.

I don't think it's a matter of tightness as much as it is that they crease at the big toe abnormally deeply. Actually left a mark.

I'm a 42 and have experienced different a different fit depending on the model and material. Sizing down one size as standard for me:

- the vintage high's fit snug
- achilles lows in leather true to size
- achilles canvas run large
- achilles mids run large

I got my first pair of low top CP last week. I'm usually a 12 in shoes, so I got a 45. I noticed it's a bit snug in the toe area, and after 2-3 days of wearing, my smallest toes hurt because they push too much on the outside of the shoe. I tried breaking them in but IDK if they'l stretch enough. I then picked up a size 46 which is a little big, but doesn't hurt at all. I can't decide which one to keep.

Get rid of the 45 and put an insole in the 46.

Quick question about Common Projects shoes: I was told by a sales associate that this brand's shoes are resolable. Is this true? I'm trying to update my casual footwear right now - I'm in the process of doing some brand research - and heard that this brand is good. While I'd assume casual footwear is generally not built to last, I figure that this is worth asking regardless.

Well everything can be resoled but I'm guessing you mean like Goodyear welted in which case some CP's (boots etc) are gy welted. As far as durability it really depends how much you wear them and what kind of weather and situations you put them in but generally speaking I've found CP's to be surprisingly durable. My oldest pair is 6 years old and there's nothing structurally wrong with them (heel wear is the only legit issue) and I wore them about 3 days/week for almost 4 years.

Thoughts on the CP vintage achilles whites?

Do you think these are worth getting rather than the plain whites, assuming same price for both?
