Retro!....I love the simple style, but at 100+ USD its a bit expensive for a watch from MUJI?....Would you get this?

Muji's normally quite good quality, so I don't think USD 100 is that steep. I like the style of the watches, the one with the black dial looks best, IMO.

Very nice choices. $100 USD isn't a bad price at all for a timepiece to wear as an everyday piece.

Take a look at the Archimede pilot.

Thanks for the input, I have a couple tag divers and aquaracers that I normally use...but this one just caught my eye! I think I shall get it tonight

Entirely too utilitarian for my tastes. I think I'd be hard-pressed to find something more boring or uninteresting.

I agree, but this is what can make it nice for certain occasions.

If anything, I like how its so far down this spectrum.

^^^ Yeah, I see what you guys are saying. I've got a couple of 80's vintage Seikos that are pretty classic and a Skagen I picked up at a duty-free about 5 years ago. Don't wear any of them, since cell phones became small enough to fit in my pocket I never really wear a watch anymore, unless I really feel like dressing up..

I don't like the look of the watch at all.

I actually just bought one of these through a proxy buyer in Japan. They're much cheaper than the UK prices. Muji JP has some nice rectangle versions as well. I was thinking about the all black rectangle but they sold out and are discontinued. Muji isn't exactly low quality either. Several notable designers made contributions to them, including Naoto Fukasawa, the designer of the Issey Miyake 12 watch and others. http://www.muji.net/store/pc/user/ca...n061113_03.jsp

Obvioulsy not a speciment from an horological collectors perspective, but not bad for changing things up once in a while, like a variety of any other accessories. I like the simple clean look of it as well.

It is minimistically simple. It's too simple. No style.

I don't see the retro.
Kinda looks like a wall clock.

Yes, it reminds me of a kitchen clock.
