So, basically, here is my dilemma:
I have a suit coat that I bought from Express a few years ago. It is white, made from a blend of 52% cotton, 43% polyester, and 5% spandex. It fits me very well, so that is why I am looking to keep it rather than let it go. Another reason I don't want to let it go is because I have only worn it a few times over the years, and since I payed over $100 for it, I wouldn't want to let it go for the probable $30 or so I'd get from eBay. Now bear with me; I realize that ever buying this jacket was a huge mistake on my part, and a lot of people on this forum would chastise me for wanting to purchase/wear such a thing. Please save your criticism. I would never buy anything like this today. Anyway, my real problem is that I wouldn't mind wearing this as a full two-piece suit at some point in the future, and I think I could get away with it as long as I found a matching trouser. Looking on Express' website, I found this:
It appears that these pants are made of a blend of cotton, polyester, and spandex, just like my old jacket. If they are of the same blend as my jacket (which is possible), would it be acceptable if I purchased them and wore them along with the jacket as a full suit? I realize that the big gap in the year of the clothing may present some problems, but if it could work out, I would be very grateful. I think I shall go into an Express store the next time I am nearby to see if this will work. I just wanted the input from some of the guys on this forum first. Thank you.
