Some people say that they “can’t stand” heavy denim; personally I can “stand” my heavy denim.
Matter of fact, I stand them all the time!
I like them to…

The Zimbabwe cotton on these Iron Heart DC4001s’ is very nice…

Nope, they are Extra Long Staple Zimbabwe cotton… and they are superb jeans.
Distorbiant, do you have any heavyweight jeans you wish to post?

Fun fact: Zimbabwe cotton is actually longer staple than Pima.

I spilled some espresso on my Lee’s today… gave them a quick bath and hear they are…

Tag is ageing very well, I love how it looks with my USA made oil-tanned belt.

I'm looking into Iron Heart's 1955 cut jeans, but am unsure about the "anti-fit".
My favorite fit is a 501xx fit (straight with slight taper)... do I need to go 1 size down or something?
What do you guys think?

Just measured a stray cotton fiber from inside the back pocket of me Lee’s (They measure 1.1/4 inches) and it turns out they are made of long staple cotton! Also known as Pima or ELS cotton... not as long as Zimbabwe cotton, but still pretty cool.

Do you have measurements for those lees? I have a lot of trouble finding raws with 13" thighs at a 33" waist.
I squeeze into some N&F elephant 2's currently, but when 22oz jeans are tight, you just loose all range of motion.

Sure thing, they are just under 34 waist with just under 13’’ (upper) thigh, 9’’ knee, and 8’’ hem, sort of a traditional fit like Levis 501.
The Iron Heart 1955s may also be something like what you’re looking for… 33 waist, 13.5 thigh, 10 knee, and 8.1 hem…
