The new challenge is up; It's not only a challenge for the individual participants, but also challenging one of Style Forums group think idiosyncrasies:

THE GRAY ODD JACKET (AND SOMETIMES MONOCHROMATIC COMBINATION) CHALLENGE

There are historic as well as nowadays provenance for this combination, yet hated by so many members, so get your thinking caps on, gentlemen!

Jackets should be worn with a tie, no ventilated shoes, pocket square, and socks are optional.

Entry closes at midnight EST on Friday. Poll closes on Monday at noon EST. Multiple votes will be allowed. I don't care when the fit was worn.

Finally, I highly encourage a full body shot as well as detail shot . Let's go.

I think it's a little hard to pair up an odd grey jacket in warmer seasons...

Usually a herringbone / Donegal is a lot more easy to pair up. Anyway - this is mine from Winter...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The weather forecast promise 12C for a high tomorrow so I can safely bring out my grey herringbone jacket and play along this week. biggrin.gif

That's why it does not need to be from this week bigstar[1].gif

Me from 01.19.13.  The jacket has light blue and tan windowpane.  I usually pair it with blue and tan trousers.

Nice. Subscribed.

Great idea. Let's hope it cools down a bit or I can dredge up some photo from when the weather was cooler. Subscribed.

Nice theme. I wear a lightweight silk/wool herringbone jacket sometimes in summer, so should definitely be able to put something together.

(PS might be an idea to include the word "challenge" at the end of the title; I didn't realise this was the new challenge thread until I looked into the old one and saw it linked therein.)

Done! Thanks bigstar[1].gif

I didn't realize it was a "challenge" either. Both of the pics I posted are years old and weren't intended as entries.

Please stay - nice entry, does not matter how old! bigstar[1].gif

Great entries so far. Of the examples, LB's takes the cake.

Ten days after AAS wore his excellent rig, I put this together. I'm enough of a Campbell to wear this tie, though it's not q-u-i-t-e my branch. Note that, in the interim, I have purchased better-fitting gray flannels, and put much more effort into keeping them creased. Otherwise, I'd gladly repeat this rig, though I might wear different shoes, and take a picture where the jacket looks a little better. Actually, given that it's 95 F here today, I'd love to be able to wear this again.

I can't be arsed to look through old pics, so here's what I'm wearing today:
