I am looking to start rollerblading this summer but I don't know which brand makes good ones. Can you guys recommend any? My budget range is $200-$400 MAX.

I used to wear K2 skates back when I played hockey. They were very comfortable and sturdy.

When I played roller hockey Bauer and Mission were always the best. If you're just casually rollerblading, though, you can't really go wrong with anything. Buckle-clasps are easier than lace-ups. Just be sure to get good wheels and bearings.

they both recently had sales online and cheaper than in store. i believe they're both affiliated as the websites and inventory are exactly the same. anyway i went with the k2 exo since it has a soft boot. very comfortable!

also tried the rollerblade zetrablade line. the harder boot is sturdier but i liked the comfort of the k2s. its so hard to roll your ankle as long as the upper part of the boot is secure. i'm also pretty new to it and for $99, didn't seem like a bad investment to see whether i really liked the sport. (I DO!)

i would recommend going to a store and trying out what feels best and then ordering online. sports authority has a sale going on right now with free shipping.

+1000 on the Bauers -- they are most like real skates.

It's hard to recommend a particular brand. As with any footwear, fit is king. I would suggest that you try on a lot of different skates, choose the best fitting pair, then take them home and wear them around the house for a couple of hours to make sure that no hot spots develop. Most reputable dealers will accept returns/exchanges if the wheels haven't hit the road.
