Please don't wear white braces unless for White tie. Just get a pair of simple navy.

i had the same issue i would buy jeans that fit over my tighs and bottom but a bit loose in the waist and would always slide down...  i found that getting the waistline altered at your local dry cleaners help my jeans sit correctly on my waist which eliminates the space for them to slide...

Try snug-tex.  I have a pair of pants that was came with two or three wavy rubber "lines" on the inside of the waist band and they hold up very well.  I started looking around and found that a product called snug-tex (and I'm sure other similar ones) would be something that I could add to any pair of pants.  Haven't tried it yet but going to order online.
