All about Levi's - Page 23

I'm wondering if some of you could help me ID the model of a pair of Levi's I own. They are Capital E, eco organic, twisted seams, lightweight denim, with the thumb holders in the front pockets (not sure if that matters). They seem to be dry or a light wash, and are bleeding indigo all over the place. I should probably add that they are slim-fitting, not skinny, with a possible slight bootcut. Thanks in advance.

Mine have a red tab and the patterned pockets too. I think I paid 40 bucks.

I have owned and worn both sorts. The Rigid Tumbled 514s are a bit nicer colour pre-wash, but the raws look better after a few washes when the others have started fading. Also the fit is way better on the red tabs. So, well done!

And a very good price! Where was that?

Macy's, strangely enough. Just to make sure we're talking about the same ones, on the inside of the waist is a blue tag that says LEVI'S in red letters with yellow outlines and "the original jeans" underneath it, or something like that. Sound familiar?

Yep, that's them!

Haha, perfect. I definitely like these a lot, though I prefered the fit in the legs a size smaller, though the waist was impossibly tight on those.

sounds like you are talking about the twist slouch, does it have a selvage outseam with no redline?
no selvage. They must be new old stock from the UK or something. I don't see much like it around here, although I did find an exact pair on Ebay. Those are 32x24, though! Mine are 32x34.

I just have a quick question. How much do Levi's 501s stretch out, is it similar to the 514s because I bought a pair in 34 and they are freaken huge now, they fit well right when they come out of the dryer but a couple of days of wearing they stretch right back out. Thanks David

Does anyone have the Harrison Capital E? I was looking at them and wondered about the quality of the denim?
you know david, if you're talking about the STF's then I have to say they don't stretch much past their raw size. I have a pair of the STF made in mexico selvage that J Crew is now selling for $265 (got mine for $40) and I've been wearing them for about four months now, hot soaked twice total. The waist is just a little over 17" aligned, which comes out to 34 doubled. My guess is they shrink then eventually stretch back to tagged, although they fit a bit loose on me so obviously if they're tirghter on you, they'll stretch out more.

Was it real or a digital effect? I only saw part of it.
