Cashmere shawl collar cardigans

Not quite the right time of year for this smile.gif

But working on my 89826 - Steve McQueen cool.

What's the nicest one? I have looked at the Carroll and Co 8-ply and it seems damn nice-- my current favorite. The Drake 4-ply seems solid, nothing spectacular. There is the Scott and Charters job sold by A. Kabazz. That mama is 12-ply; afraid it would be like wearing a blanket.

Thoughts and suggestions please.

Any idea who makes the Carroll one?

Don't discount the Drake.

There is lots of inaccuracies to the ply number games that manufactures use.

For me, the "4-ply" Drakes over a simple shirt was adequate for near freezing weather here in the east coast

Maybe the picture on the Carroll website is having an undue influence on me, but I think theirs looks great. Curious who makes it, since I could then shop around and thumb my nose at the BH bs.

in the same dilemma. the carroll picture just looks so much better for some reason. something about the roll. keep us posted on your decision! not gonna help but berk's looks pretty good too and is similar to the drakes in just about every way i can see

for anyone who's wondering, the Carroll and co cardigan is made by John Laing.

Superfishy, many thanks for the info! Had a look at their website, and it certainly looks the same. Oh by the way, it comes in 190 shades!

Have been in touch with Laing, and they confirm that the Carroll job is theirs. Tried like heck to get the names of some other sellers, but no luck. Any suggestions here about UK sellers for the Laing?

Just wanna let you know, there isn't a cardigan in Skyfall. He wears a shawl collar cardigan in the his previous two movies, the second one having the famed Tom Ford cardigan. Which is merino wool and costs almost $2000.
