Anyone interested in putting your feet up on transatlantic flights should check these guys out. It's basically a poor man's BA first class, and only runs routes from JFK to Stansted. Stansted didnt feel any further from the city to me than Heathrow and was definitely less crowded. The airline provides you with a car into the city too, which is a nice touch. I was off the jet and in the car within 10 minutes.

In terms of seating room, I dont think they give up anything to BA.

What they do give up to BA isnt really the stuff Im interested in anyway. No satellite phone, cabin is not a spacious place to walk around, the food isnt as good, and the airport lounges arent as nice.

Has anyone flown them? If I ever had cause to go to the UK, I would keep using them. They run a smooth operation, I just wish they had more routes. The stewardess told me they're talking about adding a route to CDG soon, which would be key...

Yes, it's a budget airline in a sense that you pay $3-7k for a round trip 1st class NYC-London ticket instead of $10-15k at a legacy airline.

This is probably best suited for the Fine Living/Auto/Home/whatever forum

I've heard great things about Eos and their competitor, Maxjet. Both fly out of JFK, Maxjet flies out of Dulles too. Eos flies Boeing 757s which are smaller than Maxjet's 767s but still comfortable from what I hear. Pennglock, there is an all-business airline from Newark to Paris-Orly called L'Avion if you are interested. http://us.lavion.com/? JB
