Good idea or bad idea?

Bad idea. I know some people do use it, but I wouldn't.

Mac Method!

Really I thought Reno was fine for cordovan. I am about to receive my first pair of cordovan shoes and in anticipation I've ordered some Saphir.

I have used it on a pair of shell boat shoes and it works great.

I've been using it with icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif results. The cordovan plus the Saphir result in a great shine and a great smell as well.

Damn, I hate to admit it... But maybe I am wrong shog[1].gif

I had read that this was a no-no, but your post led me to the Hanger Project website.

I always defer to Kirby on anything shoe care. And he says to use it.

A better idea would be to use Saphir Cordovan Cream. 'Cause it's like, for cordovan, y'know?

i don't find there to be any REAL benefit of cordovan cream over simply using renovateur. Cream doesn't bring much to the game imo.

Saphir knows more about quality shoe care products than I do. I would venture a guess that they know more about it than you do, as well. If they went to the trouble of formulating a product specifically for cordovan, I suspect they did so for a reason. I use Reno on calf and Cordovan Cream on cordovan. Both products work very well indeed. Others are, of course, free to do as they please.
