Hi everyone,

(1) I am based in Hong Kong, and I have to shorten the rise on my suit pants just a moderate amount. I took the pants to a couple alteration shops already, but they were not willing to take this on because I suspect it is not an easy job. Could you please recommend an alteration shop who would be willing to do this? I am not too concerned about the price point.

(2) Also, how much could I shorten the pants rise realistically?

I already have the pants as well as a matching jacket, so I would like to be able to alter the rise to make the fit more suitable.

Thank you in advance!

Dorothy alteration near Queens Road Central
Never tried to shorten the rise, but they generally do a good job.

They accept alteration too.

I think somebody mentioned alteration shop in Hollywood road. I have not tried nor confirmed, but if you stand opposite of Pacific coffee where Lyndhurst Terrace and Hollywood road meets (where post box is), and look upward left, one of the building window (4-5th floor) has a sign of alteration both in Chinese and English. I believe that must be the one mentioned here.

Appreciate your input. I will inquire at the two places you mentioned. Thank you!
