Have you tried using the option:"When making the shirt, adjust my measurements for possible shrinkage."

How much of an effect does picking this option have on the shirt's measurements? Do you think not selecting this option may make it easier to adjust future measurements?

I sent them an email requesting removable collar stays and MOP buttons and got this prompt and polite response:

The site looks great, but the stays are a deal-breaker for me. Has anyone ever tried cutting out enclosed stays?

do not attempt to cut out non-removable collar stays. they are often stitched into place.

does anyone have experience in whether it's more accurate to use body measurements the first time, or shirt measurements? i'm on the short side (5'6"), and most of my shirts fit a little bit large on me, although i could take into account those certain measurements and just subtract them in the final calculations...

Thats what I did - the shirt I copied measurements on is a little too tight in the chest and waist for a business dress shirt - so I simply added an inch and a half to those areas on the form.

Any update here? I'm curious!

mine are "in production". i got the purple herringbone fabric, and used the measurements of a lands end custom shirt, and made it slightly slimmer. we'll see how it goes.

I went with the Elo white fabric; mine is "Produced" so hopefully it will arrive in a week or two.

I have got eight shirts mtm from TailorShirts, and I am completely satisfied. No worries at all.

I got mine as well, it took almost exactly 3 weeks. I measured from another MTM shirt, and they followed it precisely. Nothing fancy in the material, but considering a perfect fit for about 50 dollars I think it is great. I've noticed they have added a lot of fabrics since I ordered and I will definitely order some more in the near future.

I also see that they have polo shirts now as well, for those looking for slim fitted ones.

This got me excited until I saw that they don't offer them in custom sizes. Also "small embroidered logo on the chest".

Based on the positive reviews I might give them a go and order a couple to start with.

are you sure about the size? my screen shows that you have a choice of either using your measurement profile or selecting from a standard size......

the logo is annoying, though.
