Glad to hear that you're pretty satisfied. Is there any way for a tailor to alter the collar so that we can put stays in?

It doesn't look like something I'd want to mess with. Although it looks just fine, IMO...it just feels too flimsy, if you know what I mean. The best course of action is probably to bug them about it to see if they'll add it eventually. :\\

Like others, I wonder why most of their fabric selections are so repulsive...

2 n00b questions about measuring the collar: I'm assuming you measure at the back of the collar, correct? And do you keep the collar folded or flipped up when measuring the height?

What an excellent website, I love how the shirt pops up in your material. I shall build a profile and make a sample order this weekend.

Measure the collar folded; the only two options are 3cm or 4cm so you don't have leeway. To measure the neck, lay your shirt collar flat and measure from the button to the buttonhole (photos are on the website).

The fit, which I was worried about, is nearly perfect, the only problem being a bit of uncomfortable tightness at my elbows when I bend my arm, but a slight tweak next time will fix that (I took the measurements from another shirt). My only real complaint is the collar. It's quite soft and the stays aren't even really stays...they feel about the stiffness of an index card. If they want to make their stays this flimsy, they need to make them removable so I can use other ones. It still looks nice and there is a decent roll with a jacket though. I will buy many more shirts from them; it certainly destroys the MySuitShop.com shirt I have.

I'd post pics, but it's terribly dark in here right now.

I received my shirt a few days ago and have the exact same thoughts. Additionally, I found the fabric (Elo) nice for the price, but still a translucent; it is easily wearable with an undershirt, but the undershirt's outline is visible in the sleeves. I have planned to take some pictures once washing and pressing, but here I will post; in a day or two I'll post washed and pressed results to see how much shrinkage occurs.

Two notes about the photos: firstly, I ordered the shirt short enough to wear out or in and it stays tucked and the odd white sticking out the bottom is an undershirt. Are there any other photos people wish to see? Fits pictures are not particularly relevant to others and the descriptions of problems are easily done with words.

My immediate thoughts upon receiving the shirt was the horrible stays; they are barely better than none at all hence why the washed pictures will be more interesting. Otherwise the shirt was pretty good; the fabric though sheer had a nice hand and the buttons while plastic were fairly nice. I measured off another shirt and the fit is great. The arms are a touch short (my fault), but am I having the same problem with the elbows. The sleeves are so slim that when the arms are bent the shirt bunches uncomfortably. Additionally, one person said that the placket wasn't straight. I didn't notice this (though it is visible in one of the pictures), but I am going to test after pressing.

So it seems that I'm not the only person having this slim sleeve problem - it appears that tailorstore can't do both high armholes and properly fitting sleeves. If you want high arm holes, your sleeves will be too tight. If you want sleeves that fit, the armhole will be too big.

They need to fix this before I consider ordering again.

True, but everyone ordered "slim" sleeves; if one ordered "regular" sleeves, I'm sure the problem would be corrected without the sleeves being blousy.

For those who have already gotten their shirts, how long did it take from when you ordered until the shirt arrived? I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and it's still "in production."

I'll believe it when I see it.

Thanks for posting the pics CoryB. I'll be happy if mine turns out as good as yours. Hopefully it will be here today.

Is that the cutaway collar? Can you post a pic wearing a tie please?

How did they ship it to you? I'm wondering if I'll have to pay duty. I'm also in Canada.

Received my shirt today. Took 23 days from order to delivery.

Basic white poplin shirt, cutaway collar, rounded french cuffs, slim body and slim sleeves. Wanted to order the cheapest shirt possible as a test.

I'm quite happy with the results considering I took measurements from an existing RTW shirt and changed them a bit.

Here's some photos:

Comments are welcome. Please bear in mind that the shirt cost $39.99 and fits me better than any RTW shirt I have. I have a fairly large chest and shoulders leading to RTW shirts that look like balloons.

I plan to take the waist measurement in a bit more next time and maybe and a quarter of an inch to the shoulders. Arm length and cuffs are perfect although they look a bit long from the photo angle.

The shirt looks pretty good. The waist seems too baggy, and the sleeves look a little long. But not bad for the price. If you so desired, a tailor should be able to adjust the sleeve length and dart the waist. At least you know what to provide next time you order.

So far it seems to be a draw; some happy, some not.
