I don't understand, did someone forget to upholster it?

Hope that's worth a mortgage payment.

I'm a monument to non-existent taste, but wtf is a mirrored tv?

Cool, I will check out his work. Seems mostly Art Nouveau which my wife will enjoy. I don't plan to make a huge event out of Corbu's buildings (which is why we are not going to villa savoye) but I figure since we're there it will be interesting to see some of it in person.

Sort of like Frank Lloyd Wright, like or dislike his work, it's hard not to want to see it if you are near it.

I like it, but it seems a bit different from your tastes. Too classically wooden, mid-century Danish. I thought you didn't like that stuff? Maybe you meant you didn't like an entire room of it, which I understand.

That's the risom side table.

It's not a mortgage payment, more like a car payment, for those that have them.

Surprisingly moderate choice.

The latter. I don't dislike it, I just don't want to be overwhelmed.

There are four LeCorbusier buildings in France good enough to justify averting your attention away from the rest of France to see: Villa Savoye, La Tourette, Ronchamp, and the chapel of Firminy. If it's not one of those four, just go see France.

Is the Risom table in place of the Aalto stool? Or is it meant for a different place? Or are you just posting a picture of an item you like? I still like the Aalto stool as a multi-purpose (seating and table) piece. You could even stack two of them for the price of the Risom.

Yes, in place of the Aalto stool.

Or maybe this:

This is good, I gave up on trying to explain myself in the other thread; my aesthetic is light on danish even though I enjoy the details of it more than any other style.

Thank you for the suggestions, I like the monastery, so that would be an interesting visit and I think after all we may end up skipping most of the Le Corbusier buildings in paris and taking the trip out to Villa Savoye. I agreed not to make the trip an architecture pilgrimage, so it will be mainly dedicated to other things.

Not sure if you're planning on putting a bun in the oven anytime soon, but keep that in mind before you start filling your place up with sharp-ish edges.
