Apartment foo-nishing - Page 150

I, for one, would love to see what SH's home / apt looks like.

Am genuinely curious, if not very intrigued.

I just moved in. Give me some time to paint and throw the landlord's shit out.

I am as well.

SH's home is either going to be a genuinely impressive temple of diffused natural light and simplicity.

Or it's going to be the most infuriating collection of pretentious pseudo-sincere clichés and bullshit.

There's nothing to be impressed with. There's a nice room with a bed and a desk, and an absence of all other trinkets people are supposedly impressed with.

There will be a ficus though, but it's mainly for air quality so it may just sit in the corner.

Not much I enjoy doing around the house more than prepping for paint.

There is no chance in hell that they are going on the floor in a book pile.

That being said, most of my architecture, art, carpentry, finance and even some of my classics could be on the floor without issue. I reference to many of them regularly, when I had them on the floor I still referenced to them.

How on earth are you interpreting me to be taking this personally? I'm simply offering a plainly reasoned response to SH's typical vitriolic nonsense.

There are ways to have nice bookcases integrated in a dwelling, it is usually not the case, especially with small appts.

That bookshelf would fail SH's smell test. It is standalone and clearly meant to turn the books into a visual statement. A standard bookshelf is much more practical.

It must be the amount of affectedness you build into your posts.

What the fuck are you talking about? This thread is some sort of bizarro universe.

I can only hope SH is affecting a faux personality in his posts. The real world doesn't deserve to suffer such vapid pomposity.

How are your empty vase and virgin Napoleon candle treating you?

I like Billy. A wall full of Billy is even better (because it looks built-in) but it's not so bad.

foo.gif Or if your response to everything other than what you agree with was something other than some version of 'that's preposterous'.

Seriously, is SH's dick literally in your mouth? Right this very second? Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt.

At any rate, you'll have to excuse me for a moment. I need to go slip on a silk robe, pour myself some scotch, light a cigar, and lounge in my vintage leather lounge chair while I reminisce about hunting scenes I've seen in old Ralph Lauren catalogues.

In the mean time, please continue your suckage.

I can confirm that it's not.
