Apartment foo-nishing - Page 144

we really like pillows made with Maharam fabics (the type Cappellini uses all the time), but they are pricey from Cappellini and the stuffing sucks. We're considering ordering some of that fabric, having the covers made for us, and then just replacing the covers on our current pillows.

We needed a wall between the living room and dining area, but didnt wan't a fully opaque screen. The Algue fit the bill.

I would never pay Cappellini for pillows. We are just going to order more Hallingdal from Kvadrat/Maharam and have them made for a fraction of the price. Colors to be determined, but have strong notions going in.

They are good for naps.

Also, if you have a dog, they can hump the pillows.

Or a bunch of co-eds who can pillow fight.

No reason you can't have both.

I just find them unnecessary I have a set in my living room, but will not buy any for my study.

People buy them., put them all over their couch and then remove them if they want to sit down. Seems a bit pointless, imo.

The are useful for napping, as someone else pointed out. As is, we wind up grabbing a pillow from the bedroom.

A biting pillow is important too.

They go well with a humbler....so i hear.

That sounds like you have *too many* pillows. If nothing else, on a sofa with arms like those on Foo's (or my own), a pillow makes leaning up against the arm more comfortable.

I just find them to be a nuisance, there is little rationality behind it.
