Levi's phasing out 514

Spoke with a Levi's store manager today. She told me Levi's is eliminating the 514 and will be replaced by 513.

I knew that would happen since 513 is a much nicer cut and more of a mid rise than a low rise.

It also seems to me that big hem jeans are a thing of the past? Everything you see mostly in cheap department stores is slim fit, slim everything.

Having personally lived through the 1990s, I have exactly one word to say about that...

GOOD.

When I was a bigger guy at 180-190 lbs, I liked the 514 cut a lot.

Yeah I'm in right around the 200 mark and the 514 is a really good cut for me. The rise is a bit low for my liking so I should probably check the 513

513 is just the 514 with a higher rise and slightly smaller leg opening. Much better IMO.
