Aaron Murray out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury (of course it's a knee injury). That brings out total injury count for the year to #1-2 RB, #1-4 WR, and QB. With I think four of them being ACL tears? What a crazy miserable season.

I feel bad for Murray. Last game as a Bulldog because of the injury. He had chance to break/set all kinds of records, and he gets hurt on a run against a totally overmatched opponent. Going to hurt his draft stock too.

Tech might beat uga this year... I sort of want that to happen so the game can almost be a rivalry again after a few years of tech success

How is this for a nightmare scenario... FSU wins out. Ohio State loses once. Auburn beats Bama. Missouri wins SEC championship and Clemson wins out... FSU/Clemson NC would be so lol.

If one is an fsu fan it would! Anyways I thought I was looking at the bcs polls when I posted that but I wasn't so that scenario would not put Clemson in the nc.

The Banner-Herald has an article that says Murray played 13 plays after tearing his ACL. Talk about tough...

The injuries this season have been outrageous. Almost so insane that it's hard to believe it's coincidental.

Tech has a better chance this season than they've had in recent seasons, but that's not saying much. The smart money is still on UGA.

Either way, it's still a rivalry, and Tech stealing one every half decade or so is a far cry from "a few years of Tech success."

AJC reported this is the worst 12-year stretch of COFH for Tech.

Not by much. Georgia is 11-1 in the current stretch; they went 10-2 in the 80s and 90s and 11-2 in the 70s and 80s.

The last time Tech won more than three in a row was the 1950s (eight from 1949-1956), and, since 1957, when Georgia started being the dominant team, the Dawgs are 41-15. Even in decades where Georgia wasn't winning 85% of the games, the Dawgs were still taking wins in clusters while Tech would grab a couple/few here and there.

Or, to put it in a way that doesn't require fancy numbers: Georgia has owned Tech since before the teams were integrated. Even so, it's still a rivalry and will remain one, even as Georgia owns Tech until it's all robots on the field.

I have to imagine @FLMountainMan will get a kick out of this.
