Vancouver SF meetup -- proposed - Page 2

Hello all.  Great to see this happening.  I paint myself with the wide "Vancouver" brush too, although I actually live in Langley - work in Burnaby.  I'll keep referring back to this, and see if it might work....makes for a long day for me.

Would love to join in as well!

It'll be worth it.

You'll get to see all your internet friends, ahah!

Also - the traffic back to Langley will be much better in the evening than it would be after work - so not only will you feel a sense of kinship with like-minded, individuals, but your commute will be almost stress-free. Win-win!

Essex PM me, I didn't even know there are that many people from the land of Lululemon and flannel shirts biggrin.gif

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend because I spend of my of time working in the central coast, and I only come to Van once a month or every other month. Next time I'm in town will be Nov 2nd.

Would be cool to meet other SF members, maybe we can do another meetup every other month.

BTW, did anyone managed to make it to Saint Crispin's trunk show last month at the Terminal City Club?

I just PM'd you.

I thought about attending the St. Crispin show, just for interest's sake, but I think I had a conflict that day.

I do enjoy my C&J shoes (of which I have several pairs), but St. C's are a bit above my comfort-level, price-wise.

Hopefully Leatherfoot will do more of these in the future.

Yeah, SC's price is way above my price point, but I thought it would be interesting to see them in person, as well as talk to the people behind Leatherfoot.

OK, you guys now officially scare the crap out of me!  I'm out!  My little collection of 10 or so pairs of AE's, along with recent additions of Wolverine Addisons and Oak Street Trench's just won't cut your SC's and C&J's talk.  And working in a business casual office the last 20+ years, I'm NOT going out to buy a whole new wardrobe just to meet "my internet friends"...haha.

All in fun...:lurk:

I'd park in Burnaby, and grab the train to Waterfront.  I'm driving in from Surrey.

So, seems like it's settled for 5:30, October 28th at Six Acres is viable for at least a handful?

I only rock the AE's also. I have a pair of Daytons when I'm not at work.
I'm normally dressed SW&D and business casual at work. (although I'm funemployed at the moment.)

I hope I'm not the only late 20s kid there!

"SW&D"?   Hmmmm...I give.   I probably have the most casual collection of AE's of anyone...other than a pair of mandatory Strands and a pair of Fairfax I picked up cheap, everything in my collection is casual, or from the "rough collection" at AE.  Oh, a pair of Daltons in there too...  I might act at times like I'm in my late 20's, but I'm in my VERY VERY VERY late 20's in actual fact...lol

I work in sweats and underarmour, so I assure you my shoe selection will be the worst.

My work shoes are from Walmart, so I'm a pretty frugal/cheap bastard. Not to mention I also have shoes thrifted from VV.

Hahaha. You guys are killing me now. So maybe I WILL fit in. Other than the part that I'm in my very very very late 20's. Lol
