Favorite SF Posters - Fit

This has been done before, but there have been some reincarnations of previous posters (new SF usernames) and some strong newcomers in the past year or so.

- Whose fits do you regularly admire? Why?

- To whom do you aspire?

- Who provides inspiration or creativity?

I'll say that on a near constant basis, NOBD, TTO and Butler win me over. I like them for different reasons, NOBD for his simplicity and his look of ease/comfort. TTO for his use of patterns and creativity. Butler for pure elegance.

These three draw me in nearly 100% of the time, though I rarely attempt to mimic any.

Vox has/had it nailed as far as fit is concerned. I find my original picks more inspiring, though I certainly understand why we're still mentioning him.

I learn from the best and I learn from the mistakes of others. It is WIN either way, so everyone is inspiring to me. Every SF day is a free fabulous pageant.

Out of curiosity, do you feel you learn more from those that do things right, or from the mistakes people make?

From those who do things right. would be my answer.
The ones who make mistakes are (hopefully) corrected by the ones who do things right.
The best information comes from those who do it right, and have the patience to take the time to explain in consice detail to others where the mistake occured, or why the mistake exists, and then why it needs to be corrected, how to do it or at least emulate a corrective measure.
Personally, I am interested in not only the clothing, but also the history and the 'whys and wherefores'.
As it is and almost endless ocean of knowledge, it takes a small army of willing souls to adress all of the questions. This is wherein lies the power of this or any other fora. It is always a pleasure for me to learn from others as well as share. Among our finer members, there is also an abiding mutual respect for anothers knowledge, and so in practice, a demonstration of gentlemanliness.
I believe also that finer behaviour should accompany finer clothes. Again, in a social forum, it is always a good opportunity to practice ones ettique. All too often we see a typical thread degrade into a pissing contest and this is not gentlemanly. Thankfully, there are many members here who always give their best effort and seek to boaden their limitations and enrich the forum and all who read along from the outside.

I feel humbled to be included in these lists, I must say, I have always felt that I have learnt from my own mistakes, sometimes these mistakes have been bought on by the desire to dress like others!

there are many posters on here that frequently post great fits, but in my opinion gdl stands out because he masters both MC, Casual and SW&D beautifully. It's hard to say no to victors or vox' closet but if I could choose, I'd acquire gdl's wardrobe over the others'.

I would aim for Chikor's amazing bespoke shoedrobe from top makers. Or APortney's shoe fairy land.
