Pingson and Vaux. Honorable Mention to Sharply Tailored, who definitely is.

Tough tough tough to call, but I'm liking yours Sugarbutch-  you, V le V and Butler are neck and neck but what stands out for me is that you've got the fit spot on, great color and it's something I'd feel comfortable in

14 Votes placed. Thin White Duke I think this is one of your best fits, really liked it a lot. SeaJean's outfit is very nice too. One vote went to TTO too, but was for the one in brown tie… I have trouble with black and blue, that troubles my mind, so… frown.gif

This was good!

To tell the truth, I am very pro 3-piece. But your shirt collar disqualified you...sorry buddy...this is Style Forum!

Not sure that anyone really qualifies as truly elegant in this one, sorry. But Vaux and Pingson come close. Perhaps it's a sign of the times that we all (and I include myself here) do better with the challenges that require quirks and less well with the basics.

Perhaps it's your definition of elegance, or "ours" more broadly: that style requires a degree of individuality and personality that is hard to muster in this guise.

It's either very safe SF-approved (and I include myself in that, on this occasion at least!), or it leans towards the garish when you contrast solid colours.  Texture helps, and I there are several here that are pretty much flawless.  But not many that are both good and interesting.

Fair enough. I see no problem with the shirt collar, I like its roll. But I have no problem with different opinions. Thanks for commenting.

Mimo, I think you hit the nail on the head. Look at the first page and you can see that Mr. Marzotto has sprezz. His attire is both SF approved and bold. I know I tried for sprezz with mine and failed, which is ok, but most entrants played safe. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but I agree we had few interesting ones. Good solid outfits? Hell yeah. But few tried something more daring.

Nearly a tie... Can't wait to see the finish.

Is there a rule that you can only host two in a row before you push to second place if you win a 3rd? That's a volleyball rule we have, to give other people a chance :-P..

Pingson got my vote. Cantabrigian deserves better pictures. Spoo's forrest green tie in this summery outfit cost him points. And that isn't a cream silk PS, is it?

I don't get the appeal of self/shadow-striped fabric. I very much like black knit (or grossa grenadine?) with white shirt and navy suit though.
