Interested in the bal boot, but how does Carmina's museeum react to rain/snow? Does the finish get affected?
The finishing and the color variation is achieved during the dying/tanning process before finishing treatment so it the colors wont run off or anything like that.
they should react to rain/snow just like any other leather shoes you have :)

Hey all, would anyone be up for a split toe blucher GMTO similar to these from GF except on the Rain last? Yes there are a bunch of other GTMOs currently and yes Edward Green Dovers are probably the holy grail but I just wanted to get some feedback. Not sure if I already missed this or not. Thanks!
Sorry me & badsha had this idea before and Carmina said they can't do this style in Rain at this time :(

How do you care for museeum leather? Do you only use neutral cream/polish to keep the finishing?

As the U-cap boot is in burgundy museum, what's the proposed colour now for the wingtip derby? Brown or green museum would excite me. Just saying.

I think the picture came out bit brighter but I would love this derby myself in burgundy museum calf :))
I maybe interested. Couple of qns to ask... Is it in Simpson last? How much is it going to cost? ETA for shipping? Can it be done without the medallion? Thanks!

This U wing bal boot (Rain / Burgundy museum calf) MTO is gaining some major traction! :)
We have about 9 interested at this point and I have 5 votes on Dainite and 2 votes on leather sole at this point!

Kindly send me a PM if you would like to join and which sole choice you would prefer! (single dainite vs leather sole)
Hi Steve, I'm down for this in dainite. PM me the cost when you have a chance!

I think Steve and I still want it in burgundy museum. I (actually) need a pair of burgundy derbies. It's a whole in my rotation. This would fill it nicely. I can't argue that other colors would also be great on this model. If you think about that burgundy museum some more, I think you'll get excited too!

It is on the Simpson last, which is narrower than most other Carmina lasts. You'll have to PM Steve about pricing and the delivery time once he's able to submit a group order. I'm sure it could be done without the medallion. My preference is to keep, since I think it balances out the shoe. If four other guys showed up and wanted to do it without, I could live with that, though. You should join us!

Didn't realize how popular these are!
Yes I will re-stock them but they are not avail to order until next year unfortunately :(
Only one navy tween cap remains at this point :)
