No worries bro.

So does the Utah leather slightly less textured? If so itll still give the same impression of what a utah/suede combo in that color scheme would look.

From what I can see, us Shell Galway folks decided on a makeup real quick. What's the deal with you Cloud Galway people?! wink.gif

Maybe all grey Galway intenders should list the variations they WOULD support if it meant getting a group order.  If everyone has but ONE combo they are willing to accept to the exclusion of all esle, I think it's pretty obvious that a group order won't fly.

With Dainite sole and an E width on the 82 I could go for:

1) Cloud Utah upper / Lavagna suede shaft.

2) Cloud Antique upper / Lavagna suede shaft (if we could request some heavy burnishing - I find cloud antique almost too light a shade of grey).

3) I'd at least entertain the idea of all Cloud Utah.

So - how flexible are YOU willing to be? lurker%5B1%5D.gif

I'll play along even though I'm fighting the losing battle smile.gif

1. All Utah, 202, Dainite
2. All Utah, 82, Dainite (edited in after the fact)

Finally, I would...mayyybe...possiblyyyyyyy...be open to considering conceding my 202 dreams and going with Utah/Lavagna, 82, Dainite. Maybe.

However if Utah gets dropped from the makeup I'm out.

Before I'm the roadblock for the Utah vs Antique train, let me take a backseat at this point. Antique can be too light for my liking, too, agreed Roger.
Utah on the other hand looks very eggplantish to me in shade, at least in some of the pics.
I shall remain silent and observe for now.

But your open to 82 with utah/lavagna.
I saw Rogers boot which was a pair of Utah on the 82 and they looked might nice.

I've seen the very nice pictures Roger posted of his Galways and additionally I've looked at the all Utah 82 last Galways on EG's site in both navy and brown.

As I mentioned I would possibly consider the 82 last Utah/suede Galway but I'm not fully sold on it so I cannot commit to it at the moment. I would much prefer all Utah regardless of the last.

Really?  I can't say I've seen even a hint of purple in the pics, though admittedly I have not seen the material in person.  There's certainly no purple in Cloud Antique calf.  And Chestnut Utah tracks very closely in shade with Chestnut smooth calf.  If anything Cloud Utah just looks a shade or two darker than Cloud Antique, which makes it a near perfect shade of grey for me.

Yes, Utah is less textured than CC.  It is also WAAAY softer and more supple.  Remeber, it is basically textured Delapre.

OK, screw it, my resistance was futile. I'm in for cloud Utah on 82. Strong preference for Dainite and open to either all Utah or lavagna / Utah.

Which is great because all EG leather I've handled has been incredible whether it's been calf, suede or cc. This will be my first/second dabble into delapre. I have a Dover on order
