I wonder how durable the Lama is?  Its soft which would lead me to believe its easily scarred.  But I'm speculating, maybe others can share their experience.

What CanadaCal said.  I have worn them with jeans (light to mid blue), brown cords, khaki colored flannels.  I just posted a picture in the casual thread with me wearing them this weekend with a brown/gray pair cords.

Steve, to @CanadaCal 's point, would the lama be too soft for a chukka?  What mid/dark brown grain from Carmina would you recommend?

Steve, might there be any interest in this loafer from Carmina's instagram: https://instagram.com/p/84yKkxItoA/?taken-by=carminashoemaker

I know Carmina previously had an issue with hatch grain, but wondering if since they're trumpeting Horween here if that makes any difference. Does anyone know if the previous batch where there were problems (I believe it was an Epaulet run?) was from Horween as well? That loafer looks so sweet.

Lama is softer leather but I don' think they scar or scuff any easier than other smooth leathers.

The grain is really nice and I think they hide the normal wear and tear scratches better imho.

I haven't had the chance to wear my lama loafers out yet but maybe other who purchased lama loafer (or @stmaier who did a mean looking lama jumper boots can chime in?)
