I would rather do this if there's any interest in it. I've saved the picture to get a GMTO started in the future. Seeing you're on the (somewhat) same track, maybe I can tempt you with it instead of the JL inspired shoe you're opting for (this one is also a JL shoe, actually)

I believe it's hatch grain.

That is a one great looking shoe.

What's the GMTO that you are a part of? The rain last is amazing. Sleek yet roomy enough and they offer it in wide if needed. What else could anyone want? Lol

I have two pairs of extra wide rain. I actually find the extra wide to be kind of ugly relative to normal rain. Because of the way Carmina rounds the front welt it looks more like the Detroit last than the rain last and looses a lot of its elegance.

Just a warning to others who might consider multiple pairs in an extra wide before they see it :).

Would you mind showing us some pictures? I ask because I also have a pair of extra wide rain and dont believe mine look at all like the detroit last or are much more rounded than normal width.

Yeah, this is kind of what I'm afraid of. I was part of the burgundy U-cap Rain last GTMO and got an extra wide fitting. Not sure how it will turn out, so I want to get the shoes and try them on (and make sure the sizing is right) before I commit to another Rain GMTO, although I really do love that makeup that Justin is suggesting.

You would be #5 that's in — need 1 more. Not too sure about price, I've never participated in one before.

I need to figure out what I want. Would brown cxl look good in this boot? Can't get over thinking pebble grain would be better for a jumper. I'll figure it out tonight

Dark brown CXL will look amazing when you get them and even better with age

That is a one great looking shoe.

I think so to. But as others have mentioned, the outcome would depend on the fine/tightness of the grain supplied by Carmina.

Burgundy (hatch) grain.
Leather sole.
Rain/Simpson last.

Would a potential GMTO interest you?
