Thanks. I think it is going to get a lot of use (although I always say that to myself to justify another shoe purchase)

I think navy given the blueish tone to the suede would look great or charcoal. Purple is probably a bit too bright for my tastes.

Any sizing advice available for the Chelsea's? Does anybody already own a pair?

I have purchased a chelsea before in black calf on the Simpson last and I found taking my regular oxford size (9.5) was a mistake. The shoe felt way too roomy in the instep and I couldn't wear them comfortably without my foot sliding all over the place inside.

Anybody else go through this? I'm wondering if a 9 would have been the correct order. Which also makes me curious as to the accommodation with other lasts such as rain and Soller. I imagine these would fit even larger and I would definitely need to go down a half size from my regular.

Call me crazy, but has anybody else experienced this?

I've never owned a Chelsea boot. Would I size the same 7.5UK I wear in Oscar? Or go half size down and expect the boot to expand due to the elastic?

I would be interested in seeing how sizing would work. Especially if there is nothing to secure your foot in if it's too big would worry me.

I would want a much more versatile color like dark brown or snuff.
