Steve,

The new burgundy derby appears to be a much deeper color than the seemingly much brighter burgundy captoe, is the difference that great when comparing the two side by side? I thought the captoe was much too bright for my tastes but the derby color looks really nice.

I have the captoe and it isn't nearly as "red" as one might think. I think the colors are likely very close but would love to hear Steve's opinion. I really want that shoe.

Very nice across the board, the suede Chukkas in particular.
Thank you Roger! It was actually part of an MTO and I've mistakenly ordered an extra in 7 UK :)

Thank you for that Burton, exactly what I was going to say :)
The new burgundy wingtip derby and the burgundy captoe are the exact same natur burdoes (natural burgundy).

I think the new picture of the derby describes the color more accurately. (the old picture of the cap toe is indeed more 'red' and brighter than real life)

On this new photoshoot, I tried very hard to get the accurate color of the shoes with natural lighting (rather than studio lighting)

Oh and we've also received some belts as well :) Brown Calf & Black Calf
(Navy shell cordovan, Loden suede, Dark-Brown calf, and Snuff suede belts will also arrive in few months)

The belt features an adjustable screw in the back for easy shortening process.
The black calf belt has black stitches (somehow the picture makes it look like it has white stitches)

Its a shame i did not order these boots, now am gutted.
Would anyone be interested in doing the boot above Carmina 973 in Ruby or Burgundy cordovan as a plain captoe?

Last: Rain
Color: Ruby or Burgundy
Sole: Victory sole or Dainite
edge dressing: ???
Lining: Open
All blind eyelets

Steve will be handling this MTO if gains any traction of 6 participants.
See victory sole image from epaulet MTO:

973 boots in Ruby Shell sounds like a winner to me!! (Carmina is out of Burgundy Shell at the moment but they do have some Ruby left)
Never done a Ruby shell MTO before and would love to see this one come together!

I leave those up to you gents and will go with the majority vote :)

Send me a quick PM for details or to sign up! Cheers!

and quick update on our current MTOs.
Last call for....

You do know you're a bastard for suggesting this? I think that would be too cool to pass, but only in shell cordovan. And definitely not in ruby shell. It is way too bright for a casual boot like this.

Well in my humble opinion the ruby shell is way too bright and would make this a Moulin Rouge boot. If made in cordovan or congnac, this would rock.

Cognac jumpers. I think the shaft would need some shortening and that's it then.

Many thanks to all for being willing to consider this shoe on the rain last and Steve for prevailing upon Carmina to offer it on the rain last. One question for those interested in the Grey suede make-up: would be interested in a little ornamentation such as the medallion on the toe as in the picture of the suede tassel loafer? I am thinking the medallion would enhance the shoe by adding some subtle ornamentation to the toe. Personally, I like the contrasting color tassel as well. I think that addition would really change the design concept that has been discussed and decided upon. In order to maintain the simplicity of the original design concept of the current group made to order, I am NOT proposing the tassel be added. Only the medallion on the toe. This is going to be a great looking shoe and, again, thanks to Steve for making it possible.

Konda are you suggesting then that we should ditch 973 boots for a jumper instead? There is also a shortage of cognac from Carmina the last i heard when Steve confirmed. This might have changed but Steve can confim that.

^ Are those not same boots in different colors with different welts? Not that they don't both look great.
