It wasn't a scuff or indentation. It was more like sticky residue in the shape of the rim of the shot glass. Point taken though.

In my limited experience Nano will darken lighter suede somewhat, viz.:

The one on the right has been sprayed; the one on the left has not.

No change, alas.

Given that some people experience darkening and some don't, I wonder what the relevant variable is?

How close did you spray and how much did you use? I have used nano spray on like 15 different pairs of suede with no effect at all

I can’t recall exactly—it was a few months ago. Perhaps around 8 inches, and enough that everything was evenly covered. They have a video on their website, and I followed that.

In my limited experience Nano will darken lighter suede somewhat, viz.: This is my experience as well. Identical darkening of snuff suede after spraying with the nano spray. Not sure if I'll try it again as I also have Saphir Invulner. The one on the right has been sprayed; the one on the left has not. Cheers, Ac

Quote malfunction. meant to say this is my experience as well. The nano darkened my snuff suede shoes to the same degree.

Snuff naturally darkens a fairly significant amount over time, so that should be taken into account. The spray could expedite that process, but it hasn't been my experience.

Edit: Steve, sorry of clogging up the thread. If anybody else has Nano or suede care Qs, they should head to the suede shoe or shoe care threads

Steve,
All preorders paid on the grey suede Chelsea?
Yes sir! All paid and good to go :)
We can add more (until 08/18) if anyone else is interested for the following (since Carmina factory is on Summer break at the moment)

# 1. Grey Suede / Soller Last / Chelsea boots / Stormwelt / Natural Dainite Sole
# 2. Chocolate Suede / Rain Last / Chelsea boots / Dainite Sole
# 3. Chocolate Suede / Soller Last / 3 Eyelet Chukka / Dainite Sole

I'd like to see the Frankenstitch boot in navy shell, antique edge trim and with brass eyelets
THIS! I have this MTO in mind as soon as navy shell comes back in circulation

Wow the suede on those looks fantastic, I don't know what the deets of that mto was but that should be a standard offering. Enjoy and wear in good health.
Yes! This should be a standard stock offering soon for us ;))
Much easier to maintain than calf. With the Nano, suede is great for rain & snow. I learned an early lesson when I wore Swims over my suedes and that actually had a harsher outcome than rain because the top edge of the Swim cut into the suede nap.

The only drawback to the Nano is that it doesn't last very long.

Yes, once you get comfortable with this first pair and realize how versatile and easy to maintain suede is, I suspect you will buy a couple more. I am up to 9 pairs.

Enjoy the suede thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/153184/suede-shoes-post-em-here/2070_30#post_7285984

Not only is this my favorite model from Carmina it's arguably the sexist chukka of all. I would love a dress version of this boot in dark brown calf with a double leather sole. Any takers?

This sounds good, but I'm also interested in the chukka and Chelsea that were just mentioned as being open till the 18th.
I half heartely looked for the price of the Chelsea and chukka gmto but missed them. Anyone care to tell me what they're going for?

Just got another package from the wonderful Steve! The newest member to the family is the chocolate suede adelaide to go along with its brother, the tobacco suede adelaide. The tobacco suede is from Skotie and the tobacco belt is from Steve. As you can tell, the belt and shoes are a different shade of tobacco, due in part to Carmina using a different supplier, but they are close enough to wear together. As usual, Steve was on point with everything! Thanks again sir! On to the pics:
